Abstract

The experience from 1989 to 2003 of seeking state guarantees, financing, and management of gold mining is an attempt to search for foreign capital and technology. This is not just a continuation of the tradition of the late XIX century, but a solution to the problems that arose in the 1980s. By the mid-1990s, many mining companies were among the most inefficient and polluting in the world. Today, in fact since 2006, new technologies were developed, and DPM - Chelopech is among the global leaders in gold mining technologies.
