LOCAL YOUTH POLICY AND THE ROLE OF YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract

The article aims to outline the opportunities for youth organizations and young people to participate in the formation, implementation, and monitoring of local youth policies, which is of great importance for the good governance of the local administrations, as well as for interaction with citizens in general to increase democratic participation. According to art. 15 of the Youth Act, local youth policy in Bulgaria is based on a systematic approach that aims to build a sustainable ecosystem for the development of young people and their active participation in the process of formation, planning, and implementation of youth policy at the local and national levels.
