Early identification of stakeholders in economic development projects is important for the overall success of the investment process. Public acceptance and discussion are mandatory elements for issuing project documentation for all countries, members of the European Union and a number of others around the world. The proper planning of the communication and marketing strategy before the construction stage depends to a large extent on the early identification of stakeholders, and often the lack or incorrect identification leads to problems with the public and the respective stakeholders, which can lead to a critical delay and/or cancellation of the investment . The purpose of this article is to show and analyze the importance of early identification of stakeholders in economic development projects and identify factors influencing this process.
